It’s no secret avocados are fantastic for your health. Eating one avocado per week is said to have multiple health benefits, including reducing arthritis symptoms, improving digestion and maintaining a healthy heart.

And it’s all in the oil! Avocado oil is high in vitamin E, ‘good’ fats and contains more protein than any other fruit. So, boost your health with these five benefits of avocado oil.

Maintain a healthy heart

The ‘good’ fats found in avocado oil are monounsaturated oleic acid (omega-9 fatty acid), which is also found in olive oil (also known to be fantastic for your health). Oleic acid has several health benefits including lowering blood pressure and cholesterol, and reducing the risk of cancer. Avocado oil is also anti-inflammatory, meaning it can help to prevent damage to arterial walls (the walls of blood vessels), a change that may lower the risk of heart disease. 

Improve digestion

The vitamins, minerals and fatty acids found in avocado oil help you to digest food more easily.
