These are the best restaurants in Australia – voted by you!

Customer review website Yelp has released its 2016 list of ‘Top Places to Eat in Australia’ and it’s the best yet. Filled with everything from charming cafes to fine dining restaurants, there’s something on there for everyone.

Taking out the top three spots were the sleek Chin Chin in Melbourne, popular dumpling house Din Tai Fung in Sydney, and the trendy Toastface Grillah in Perth.

Western Australia had a huge surge in popularity claiming 4 of the top 10 and 38 of the top 100 places to eat.

Yelp spokesman Nick Lembo said the list showed the amazing diversity throughout the Australian food scene.

“This list is great because it reflects the uniqueness of the Yelp community and is powered by the people, not a small group of restaurant critics, so it’s representative of places Australians love,” he told the Daily Mail.

“One of the surprises is the sheer diversity of places – the list has cheap and cheerful Chinese noodle houses, beautiful vegan specialists, and a famous burger spot that churns out greasy goodness in a setting inspired by vintage video games.”
