The Best Style of the Golden Globes 2016

It is that time of year again – Golden Globes time – when Hollywood’s glitterati don their glad rags and swan down the red carpet to another awards ceremony. Unlike the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes recognise excellence in both film and television.

Did you watch the Golden Globes on TV? I didn’t get to watch it this year, but by all accounts Ricky Gervais did his worst – er, best – at trying to offend everybody and get people to laugh at themselves! I love Ricky’s sense of humour generally but I can see how he is not everyone’s cup of tea.

What a gal and what a gown!  Exquisite Cate Blanchett is always fashion forward with her look and she doesn’t disappoint in this fringed and flowy Givenchy gown and Tiffany & Co jewels.

At 59 years of age, newly engaged Jerry Hall still knows how to bring the glamour! She sure can show the young ones a thing or two about how to look good!

I don’t know about you, but Jane Fonda’s YSL gown reminds me of giant clam! But what a gorgeous clam she is!

Talented and beautiful, Jennifer Lawrence stuns in this red Dior gown and Chopard collar. I just wish she would tone down the all over blonde and go back to her gorgeous highlighted self.

Eva Longoria is stunning in this embroidered George Hobeika gown! This is one of my favourite looks of the night!

Much fuss has been made about the gown chosen by Ron Howard’s daughter (remember Ritchie Cunningham?). Bryce Dallas Howard’s Jenny Packham gown was store bought! Scandalous! But you know what? Who cares? She looks absolutely stunning!

Actress Viola Davis shines bright in this gorgeous Marchesa gown. Take notice of this flattering style ladies – it covers up in all the right places whilst still showing a hint of skin!

Let’s finish off with this Atelier Versace golden goddess gown worn by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley! Newly engaged and glowing with happiness – no wonder her fiance cannot take his eyes off her!
