Susan Sarandon is no stranger to a daring red carpet look, but while the actress usually dons glamorous gowns that show off her hourglass figure, she went for something a little more low-key in Rome on Friday.
Sarandon attended a star-studded gala dinner in the Italian capital for the The Andrea Bocelli Foundation and the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center and wowed photographers and the crowd with her sleek designer suit.
The actress looked incredibly cool in a buttoned-up white shirt and black suit. Her trousers were decorated with a printed panel down the side, adding a touch of colour to the look.
She completed her outfit with black lace-up shoes, glamorous sunglasses and classic red lipstick.
The event was held at the Galleria Doria Pamphilj, which is described on its website as “the triumph of art in the heart of rome”.
The stunning building displays some of Italy’s best art and the structure itself is a masterpiece of pained ceilings and gold-adorned walls and furniture.
Sarandon has been in Italy for over a week now. She attended the Venice Film Festival and walked the red carpet before the premier of Helen Mirren’s new film The Leisure Seeker, which follows the story of couple on a road trip from Boston to the Hemingway House in the Florida Keys before his Alzheimer’s and her cancer can catch up with them.
