Phwoar! Susan Lucci, 71, stuns in eye-popping swimsuit photoshoot

She may be 71, but there’s no way Susan Lucci is ready to give up on her modelling days just yet.

The All My Children star has stunned in a gorgeous new photoshoot for Harper’s Bazaar, showing off her lithe frame in two stylish black swimsuits.

Looking as glamorous as ever, Lucci is seen posing on the beach in one photo with her windswept hair pushed over her shoulder.

Her flattering black swimsuit features two cutouts at the sides and rope detailing around the waist.

A second snap shows her arms spread wide with a huge smile on her face as she soaks up the sun and the attention. This time her swimsuit is tightly wrapped around her waist to create a flattering shape. 

“I feel as good now as I ever did in my 20s and 30s, maybe even better physically,” she told the magazine.

Lucci, most famous for portraying Erica Kane on the ABC daytime drama All My Children from 1970 to 2011, said she still takes great pride in her appearance and works hard on a strict diet and exercise regime to stay in shape.

When asked if she’s embraced the ageing process she replied that she’s “kicking and screaming all the way” and is vigilant with her skin care routine, always removing her makeup and applying moisturiser every night, no matter how tired she is.

“What I’ve learned is that if you train hard, you can offset some of what you’ve got going against you,” she said. “People look at me and say ‘Wow, she doesn’t seem old, but she is old.’ Meanwhile, the reality is if you’re strong, you’re beautiful, no matter what age you are.”

The actress credited pilates for keeping her body in shape and confessed she’s partial to botox to keep lines off her face.

Lucci has found herself a whole new generation of fans in recent years after joining social media site Instagram. The actress regularly shares photos of her workout routines and gorgeous outfits, as well as more intimate family snaps of her husband of 49 years, Helmut Huber, and her glamorous holidays around the world.
