Gorgeous! Princess Mary glows in elegant all-white ensemble

It’s a case of another day, another elegant ensemble for Aussie-born royal Princess Mary.

The Danish royal and her husband Crown Prince Frederik stepped out together for a glamorous day of royal engagements in Rome, Italy, on Monday, greeting crowds of locals and looking fabulous while doing it.

The pair joined Italian President Sergio Mattarella and his daughter Laura Mattarella as they toured the ancient city and its many beautiful sights.

Proving once again that she’s one of the most stylish royals in the world, Mary showed off her flair for ladylike fashion in a lovely white dress that fell below the knees.

The long-sleeved, layered frock helped ward off the November chill and featured a simple cream belt that cinched in at the waist. Meanwhile, Frederik looked dashing in a classic three-piece blue suit.

The royal couple are visiting Rome as part of an ongoing program to promote Danish businesses in the Italian capital. The trip will focus on water, energy and urbanisation and how local businesses are creating more sustainable products and services.

They toured the ancient baths of Caracalla, which were the city’s second largest Roman public baths during the reigns of emperors Septimius Severus and Caracalla and are believed to have been built in about 212 AD.

According to the Danish Palace, Mary and Frederik will participate in a number of business activities aimed at strengthening relations between Denmark and Italy during their visit.

The trip is the latest in a long line of similar visits throughout Europe for Mary and Frederik.

Earlier this year, Mary undertook a solo tour of Finland’s west coast where she visited a number of local business and spoke about Denmark’s own progressive approach to environmentally friendly energy and urban planning.

Both Mary and her husband have been taking on increasing royal responsibilities in recent years as they prepare to ascend the throne. While there is no talk of Frederik’s mother Queen Margrethe II relinquishing her reign anytime soon, at 78, she is understandably winding back on her day-to-day duties.

Frederik’s father Prince Henrik died in February aged 83 after a short battle with with dementia. He had been in hospital for lung infection and a benign lung tumour and succumbed to his illness.

Although he had retired from royal duties years earlier, Henrik’s death sparked a movement of change within the royal family that saw Frederik and his brother Prince Joachim’s royal workloads increase.

Frederik and Mary have made sure to include their children regularly during their local royal engagements and earlier this year toured the Faroe Islands as a family.

The couple’s four children, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine are already learning about their country’s history and the role they will play in its future.
