Radiant Princess Mary joins Danish Royals in new summer family snaps

While many royalists around the world are still overcome with “Meghan Mania”, Australian-born royal Princess Mary is continuing to inspire people all over Denmark.

The 46-year-old has been holidaying in the Jutland region of southern Denmark with her entire family, soaking up the European summer while it lasts. While the world is used to seeing Mary in glitzy gowns and gorgeous royal attire, she’s been keeping it casual on her holiday at the iconic Grasten Palace, known for hosting the Danish Royal family on their summer vacations.

In fresh photos shared by the family, Princess Mary could be seen waving as the entire family including husband Crown Prince Frederik, mother-in-law Queen Margrethe and children Princess Josephine, Prince Christian, Princess Isabella and Prince Vincent enjoyed festivities at their summer residence.

Queen Anne-Marie was also spotted at the changing of the guards ceremony at the castle, while an adorable pet dog also made an appearance.

The entire family was dressed for a day of fun in the sun. Princess Mary opted for an elegant white top that showed off her shoulders, complete with a beautiful floor-length black and white skirt with an interesting pattern. She wore her luscious brunette locks down for the event and topped off the look with a gold necklace.

Prince Frederik wore a simple polo shirt and a pair of shorts, showing off his legs. He also opted for a pair of running shoes. Meanwhile, Queen Margrethe stole the show in a bright pink polo shirt, a flowy white skirt and topped off her look with a pair of colourful sandals. Princess Mary’s two daughters both opted for summery dresses, while her boys each wore smart shirts and shorts.

It’s not the first time the family have got together in recent times. Last weekend, they attended the Grasten Ring Rider Association’s annual parade in the gates of Grasten Palace. During that outing, Princess Mary wore a sleeveless white blouse and a smart black skirt for her day with the family.

Royalists couldn’t help but notice how grown up Princess Mary and Prince Frederik’s children are. Their eldest, Prince Christian is now 12, while Princess Isabella is 11. Meanwhile, twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine are both eight.

It’s the first summer the family are spending without Prince Henrik, who sadly passed away at the age of 83 on February 13. The Prince battled poor health for years, and was stricken with dementia. He died in his sleep surrounded by family.
