Pregnant Catherine is glowing in blue as she gives emotional speech

The Duchess of Cambridge is only a few months away from welcoming her third child, but she’s not letting it slow down her busy work schedule at all.

Prince William’s wife was glowing as she showed off her growing baby bump in a blue dress and matching coat on Tuesday, as she visited Roe Green Junior School in London. She was there to launch the pilot of the Mentally Healthy Schools website, aimed at supporting teachers with practical resources for them to help their students.

Catherine covered a smart knee-length blue dress with a coat outside, as she was offered flowers by a fan, and finished the look with high stiletto heels. She smiled and chatted with well-wishers, before joining teachers inside for a lesson derived from the mental health initiative. 

After the class, Catherine took to the stage to give an emotional speech on mental health and told the audience of the importance of speaking to children from a young age about a range of issues, from bereavement to anxiety or eating disorders.

“When we intervene early in life, we help avoid problems that are much more challenging to address in adulthood,” Catherine said, in a video shared by Kensington Palace. “My own commitment is to the youngest and most vulnerable in their early years – babies, toddlers and schoolchildren – and to support all those who care for them.”

It comes as part of the Head’s Together campaign the Duchess leads alongside her husband and brother-in-law Prince Harry. Meanwhile Kensington Palace said of the new scheme: “Teachers and staff play a pivotal role in a young person’s life, but they currently struggle to find the right resources in order to provide the most effective support for children in their care.

“Up until now, the array of online resources has been difficult to navigate; it is often unclear whether items are expertly verified, and teachers are often unsure how appropriate the advice is for their particular age-group or issue.”

Catherine has been keeping very busy recently, and just days ago she switched her usual gowns and stunning glamour for a rather sporty outfit. The royal donned joggers and a track suit as she spent the afternoon at Bond Primary School for a couple of hours of fun and sports.

The pregnant mother-of-two was at the school to see the results of a recently-launched tennis initiative and happily played with students. In addition to playing games with the children, she was also happy to have a little cuddle and dish out some high fives. 

The official Kensington Royal Instagram page shared a snap of Catherine playing a game with an eager young fan. “Today The Duchess of Cambridge visited Bond Primary School to see the work of the @wimbledonfdn Junior Tennis initiative, who provide free tennis coaching and activities to local schools,” the caption read. “The initiative promotes the benefits of physical activity and so far has introduced more than 195,000 children to sport.”
