Nichole Kidman’s SAG awards dress squawks with colour

Today was the Screen Actor’s Guild awards in the United States.  An awards ceremony that usually sets the path towards the Oscars and Emmys for the great work in film and television. 

It is also another fantastic time for our favourite celebrities to get dolled up in fantastic frocks and show off the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.  

Nicole Kidman and her husband musician Keith Urban stood out on the red carpet with Keith dressed in a stylish tux and Nicole standing out in a vibrant parrot inspired dress.

Talking to the E! Online, Nicole shared the reaction her husband had to her award nominated role in Lion saying, “I knew we were onto a good thing when my sister and my husband saw the film, and both came out weeping and wanting to hug me.”

Nicole also added that she loves the film saying,”It has been so easy to promote this film and talk about it. It is love. It is about unity and family, about the power of mothering”.  While she didn’t win her award in the category Outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role, she lost out to Fences star Viola Davis; she certainly turned heads in her dress.
