Melania stuns in black floor-length gown at Governor's Ball

When it comes to fashion, the First Lady of the United States knows how to make an entrance. Melania Trump looked radiant as she attended the annual Governor’s Ball at the White House on Sunday night, sashaying into the room in a custom-made Dolce & Gabbana gown. 

Melania made a stunning entrance in the elegant floor-length gown, walking alongside husband President Donald Trump to greet the US governors. The eye-catching black gown featured long sleeves with lace and sequin detailing. Melania wore her brunette locks out in soft waves and opted for a pale pink lip to complete the ensemble.

Ahead of the event, the First Lady took to social media to share her excitement, writing: “Looking forward to hosting members of the & their spouses at the  this evening. Wonderful opportunity to come together in friendship on behalf of our many communities across the country.”

The president used the event as an opportunity to talk about school safety after the devastating shooting at a Florida high school last week.

In a brief statement, the president said, “I think we’ll make that first on our list, because we have to end our country of what’s happening with respect to that subject”.

Trump also praised his wife for making the room look more “beautiful” then he’d ever seen. “Well, I want to start by congratulating our great First Lady on such a beautiful room. I’ve never seen it look so beautiful.”

“I also want to say that it’s an honour to have so many of our tremendously talented governors with us.  This is a yearly tradition, and our crowd gets a little bit larger every year,” he continued. 

The president also said that he’s proud of the nation’s governors, calling them “special people”. “You’re very, very special people.  The job you do is really incredible, and it’s not easy.”
