Jane Fonda recently revealed she had to have a cancerous growth removed from her face, but she hasn’t let it stop her one bit.

The actress, 80, looked incredible as she joined stars in City Park for the Respect Rally in Utah. Wearing a stylish hat, she ensured she shone out as she posed for photos – before taking to the stage to give a powerful speech for the women’s march.

Wearing a baggy cream jumper and tanned trousers with matching knee-high boots, Fonda looked effortlessly elegant for the event. She appeared to cover up her bandaged lower lip, following her recent cancer scare.

According to the Mail Online, Fonda took to the stage and gave an inspirational speech, telling the crowd: “We’ve got to give it all we’ve got. Time is up!” She later added: “When we are equal, we are not abused.”

The actress has been spotted wearing the flesh-coloured plaster ever since announcing her scare earlier this month.

“Hey listen, the world is falling apart, what’s a lip,” Jane previously joked on The Howard Stern Show, adding that her doctor dug into her lip to remove the growth. “Yeah, they did biopsy it. I’m going to be fine, thanks.”

She first revealed the op while promoting the new season of her Netflix series, Grace and Frankie, in New York City, and explaining the bandage, she said: “I just had a cancer taken from my lip. I thought it was going to heal in time before I came before you, but it’s fine. I just want to explain it. I don’t normally go around like this.”

This isn’t her first cancer scare. In 2010, the Oscar winner, removed a small tumour from her breast, People reported.

Jane currently stars alongside Lily Tomlin in the popular comedy-drama Grace and Frankie. The two women play rivals who find comfort in each other after their husbands fall in love with each other and decide they want to get married.

Friends both on and off screen, Jane and Lily told Stern how they love going to work every day at an age when most people are retired. “We crack each other up and we can’t stop laughing. There’s something really nice about pulling through those Paramount gates every day,” Jane added.
