Catherine Zeta-Jones owns the red carpet at every public event she attends, but she doesn’t let the glamour slip when out the camera’s eye either.

The 48-year-old actress looked serene in her latest photo, showing off her youthful complexion as she readied herself for a promotional event. Wearing a knee-length, one-shoulder black dress, Michael Douglas’ wife embraced a timeless look for the social media photo, while adding a touch of her own style with a colourful slash across one shoulder.

Staring out of a window into the sun, she is completely lit up and looks flawless in front of the camera. While it’s unclear if the snap was taken at her home, or part of a professional photoshoot, she appears to have hardly aged since she started out as an actress in beloved British series The Darling Buds of May.

The actress captioned the photo with a shout out to her style and make-up team, and added: “‘Stepping out’ to start promotion on ‘Cocaine Godmother’. The LA sunshine feels good!”. Cocaine Godmother is a made-for-TV movie in which the actress is near-unrecognisable as Griselda Blanco, the female drug lord who helped pioneer the cocaine trade in Miami.

Meanwhile, husband Michael Douglas has been spending some quality time with family. His son Cameron shared a photo of Michael and other family members with new granddaughter Lua Izzy on Instagram. The proud actor appears to have embraced becoming a grandfather, and smiled proudly at the camera.

Cameron wrote alongside the photo: “What it’s all about. #Blessed with #Family.”

It comes after Catherine joined A-list stars at the Golden Globes last week, and once again stole the show in a glamorous gown. She showed off her figure in a plunging number with floral embroidery and strategically placed gems, and managed to keep the daring number elegant with a hint of her black underwear underneath.

She wore statement green earrings and kept her hair loose and wavy down her back, while flashing a huge smile for the cameras. The star joined a stream of other stars wearing black to honour the Time’s Up campaign against sexual harassment.

The Time’s Up campaign was established by a group of more than 300 women, both in and out of Hollywood, and encouraged actresses to wear black to the awards show in an act of solidarity. The group, which includes everyone from Meryl Streep to Jennifer Lawrence, has also raised $16.5 million for a legal defence fund for less privileged women who have fallen victim to sexual harassment, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

The initiative was announced with a full page ad in the New York Times, with an open letter signed by many of the celebrities involved in the project. Part of it reads: “The struggle for women to break in, to rise up the ranks and to simply be heard and acknowledged in male-dominated workplaces must end; time’s up on this impenetrable monopoly.” It followed a series of shocking allegations of sexual harassment made against Harvey Weinstein and other big names in the entertainment industry.
