After 13 years in the royal family, the Duchess of Cornwall knows a thing or two about fashion. Camilla donned a glamorous ballgown at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday night where she joined her husband Prince Charles and guests to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the British Asian Trust.

The organisation was founded by Charles in 2007 in an effort to tackle widespread poverty and hardship in South Asia. Since then, the organisation has helped thousands of people across south Asia find sustainable work and maintain a steady income.

To date, the charity has touched the lives of close to four million people through education, training and healthcare.

Charles and Camilla hosted the celebratory party at Buckingham Palace and welcomed dignitaries, pop stars and charity workers into one of the palace’s grand ballrooms. While their was plenty of glamour in the room, it was all eyes on Camilla who stood out in a stunning black gown and diamond accessories.

The future Queen Consort posed alongside singer Indian Kanika Kapoor, and looked every bit the royal with jewels dripping from her ears and neck. Charles chose a traditional tuxedo for the evening and was pictured posing next to singer Naughty Boy.

Charles and Camilla visited south Asia last year where they met people who had been supported by the British Asian Trust and saw the positive developements the organisation had contributed to throughout the area. While there, Charles announced a new $10 million education development impact bond to fight poverty in the region and improve learning outcomes for thousands of marginalised children in India.

It’s been a busy week for the royal couple, who earlier toured the ITV studios in London to celebrate 90 years of the Royal Television Society and appeared in a rare television interview on talk show This Morning.

In a clip shared on the Clarence House social media page, the royal couple were seen chatting with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. The segment saw the group chatting about everything from the royals’ homemade honey to their vast charity work.

Both Camilla and Charles also signed a guest book that will be auctioned off the one lucky viewer at the end of the year.

What do you think of Camilla’s glamorous gown? Is it nice to see the royals’ charity work coming to life around the world?
