All eyes on France’s First Lady at inauguration

No doubt you’ve heard a lot about Brigitte Macron in the lead up to the French election, and when her husband was elected president.

Of course the age difference between the First Lady and her husband has drawn plenty of discussion and debate online.

But regardless of what you think about, you can’t deny that she’s got style.

The 64-year-old school teacher is being heralded as a potential style icon and inspiration for women over-60, especially after her appearance at her husband’s Emmanuel Macron’s inauguration over the weekend.

Brigitte wowed the crowds in a short sky-blue dress with a matching ‘power’ blazer. 

The outfit, designed by luxury French fashion house Louis Vuitton, has been given high praise by stylists and fashion commentators around the world.

It’s been praised as a “powerful” display by the new French First Lady and many are comparing her look to other stylish former first ladies such as Jackie Kennedy.

Many commentators are already holding high hopes about Brigitte Macron’s ability as a First Lady, with many pundits tipping she will be an influential figure in France.
