Throwback! Lisa shares gorgeous photo from her lavish vow renewal ceremony

It’s been one year since Lisa Wilkinson renewed her wedding vows in an intimate ceremony in Sydney, and from the looks of her flashback photo posted to Instagram on Sunday, she’s still has giddy about it as ever!

Lisa and her husband Peter Peter FitzSimons renewed their vows on their 25th wedding anniversary, sharing the day with their closest friends and family. 

The gorgeous flashback photo shared by the former Today show host shows the happy couple on their on their vow renewal day, with Lisa donning an elegant white Pallas Couture gown — the same dress she wore at the Logies in 2015. 

She wrote: “Hard to believe it’s a whole year since Pete and I decided to renew our vows. One of the most joyous nights of our lives surrounded by precious family and friends.”

The Project host, 58, then uploaded a second image from the nuptials with their three children — Jake, 24, Louis, 22, and Billi, 20. She wrote: “Our beautiful kids…and ready-made bridal party!” 

Fans were quick to extend their congratulations, with one writing: “Love this sooo much. You two are an inspiration.” Another added: “Congratulations and the dress was perfection.”

The couple renewed their vows in celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary in front of family, friends and colleagues at the Balmoral’s Bathers Pavilion last year. Among those who watched the loved-up pair say ‘I do’ for the second time was Today’s Sylvia Jeffreys, Ben Fordham, Georgie Gardner, and Richard Wilkins as well as Jeffreys’ husband Peter Stefanovic.

Last week, Lisa shared a stunning photograph of herself and Peter overlooking the famed rooftops of Santorini, Greece. Lisa took a break from TV to embark on a lavish European getaway with her husband in August last year. 

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “26 years today. Happy anniversary sweetheart. You continue to be my absolute rock every single day.”

It’s been a busy year of travel for the much-loved presenter, who abruptly left Today in 2017 after the Nine Network failed to meet her salary demands. After joining Channel Ten, she flew to Las Vegas in February to interview Celine Dion, before jetting to New York in April. She also travelled to the UK in May to cover the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
