Bride’s hilarious first dance with dad sends Internet wild

For many brides, one of the highlights of their wedding day (besides marrying the man of their dreams) is sharing a dance or two with their father. While many choose to slow-dance to a classic track, a British bride and her father had plans of their own.

After tying the knot with husband Liam on Saturday, bride Aime Milner and her father Ian Richards took to the dance floor at the reception with a routine that sent the wedding party and people all across the world wild.

At first, the pair begin dancing to Monkees classic ‘Cheer Up, Sleep Jean’. Early on, it appears the dance is going to be the standard dance most wedding guests are used to seeing between a father and daughter on her big day.

Ian can be seen twirling his little girl around and it’s a sweet moment. Then, out of nowhere, the dance takes a dramatic turn when both Ian and Aime pull on a pair of sunglasses. The crowd goes wild as the pair begin to hilariously bust a move to ‘One Step Beyond’ by Madness.

They then ditch their glasses and move into ‘Stayin’ Alive’ by the Bee Gees. Complete with some moves straight out of the 1970s, it’s a real crowd-pleaser. Another highlight is their hilarious interpretation of Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and their best attempts to play the air guitar.

Father Ian also proves he’s down with the times, shaking his groove thing to Beyonce’s catchy ‘Single Ladies’.

The video was first shared the video online earlier this week by Aime’s friend Charlotte. More than 52,000 people have watched the clip, with many describing it as “one of the best father-daughter dances”.

It’s not the first time a dance like this has gone viral.

In 2016, Holly Wolff and her father Rick Harnsberger became online sensations when their hilarious wedding dance made headlines around the world.

Similar to Aime and Ian, their dance started off slow as they danced to Celine Dion’s ‘Because You Loved Me’ for the first 45 seconds.

Guests were surprised when the beat suddenly changed and the pair broke out of their waltz and started rocking out to The Jackson 5’s ‘Want You Back’.
