One sentence Bob Katter thinks he shouldn’t have said

Bob Katter has been a polarising politician but is also one that gets praise for speaking his mind.

A video of him has sparked more controversy as to the way that the video was recorded.  In the video posted to Facebook, it looks like Bob Katter thinks that he’s taking a picture for with a fan at the pub.  What Katter doesn’t seem to realise is that it’s actually a video.

Many believe that the young man in the video that introduces himself as “Kev” was baiting Katter to get him to say something. He got his wish. At once stage
“Kev” asks Katter if his “in bed” with Pauline Hanson’s One Nation. Not answering the question, Katter bluntly says “I don’t want any Muslims coming here.” “Kev” yells “GOTCHA” while Katter quickly adds “I shouldn’t say that.”

“Kev” then calls Katter a few names which many are calling disrespectful and worse than anything Katter said.

Language Warning (Foul language used in this video)

The video has had almost 70,000 views and the comments are also polarising with one Facebook user writing, “This guy is a disrespectful little kid grow up all you care about is instant gratification and how many likes and shares you get it’s truly pathetic it’s sad”

One Muslim posted on the video as well defending Katter saying, “I am a Muslim and personally not offended. We don’t want too many Kiwis here when we are versing the all blacks, don’t want too many New South Welshmen in QLD during origen etc so why kick up a fuss when Bob Catter of all people has had a few too many beers and let’s a poorly articulated joke slip. Poor guy. He doesn’t care about homosexuals, immigration or religion, just let him look after rural Australia. We need out farmers and rural communities who are the backbone of our country and very few people are standing up for them.”

What do you think? Who do you think is in the wrong?
