Malcolm Turnbull’s heartfelt Christmas message

Dec 24, 2015

Malcolm Turnbull’s heartfelt Christmas Message has been released and in his authentic style he has stayed off politics and said thanks to the defence forces abroad.  Turnbull has shown empathy and community spirit in his message that reached out to people’s kindnesses.

“In particular, we thank the men and women of the Australian Defence Force who are serving overseas this Christmas, as well as our Police, security, emergency and firefighting services who will be keeping us safe on Christmas Day just as they do every day,” he said.

“We should also think of those less fortunate this Christmas. Poverty, loneliness, illness, the loss of loved ones – these shadows hang heavier at Christmas.”

Its a stalk contrast to Bill Shorten’s who has used his moment in the limelight to showcase a heavily edited political stance.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has used his first official Christmas message in the top job to thank those who had served and protected us throughout the year and would not be home to spend Christmas with their family and close friends.
