Barbara Eden is best known for playing the role of Jeannie in the sitcom hit I Dream of Jeannie.

After that hit show, which ran from 1965 to 1970, with numerous repeats for many years later, she went on to other television and movie roles, including a stint in Dallas and Harper Valley P.T.A.

While she might not have been on our screen so much these days she’s certainly been busy. She’s written her memoir, released in 2015, which talks about her marriage breakdowns and an emotional breakdown after her son Matthew died.

She’s still been involved in the industry lately too. Last year Eden did the voice for a character in a Nickelodeon product, Shimmer and Shine

The 86-year-old made an appearance at the Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles 2017 Wish Gala at Hollywood Palladium this week, and looking at her, it looks like she’s been granted a few wishes genie style.

Wearing a stunning royal purple pants suit with an asymmetrical neckline, she looked simply elegant, but years younger than her age.

The annual Make-A-Wish event, while being the largest fundraiser of the year, it is to celebrate the children and families whose lives have been forever changed by the power of a wish, as well as thank and honour the leaders and visionaries in our community who make these wishes possible.

Were you a fan of I Dream of Jeannie or do you prefer her in a different role?
