Lifehack to get more use out of your around-the-home tools

Get more use out of your tools.

Do you find you can’t quite get the grip you need when using some of your tools?

Why don’t you try a piece of garden hose.

If you trim off two small bits of hose (or other type of tubing) and put them over the top of your pliers, for example, they will provide a rubber buffer that will add extra grip.

As a bonus, the new softer surface will also prevent damage to any delicate items you are working with.

It’s a great solution for when you are working in the garden or using tools with your craft work.

When you don’t need the hose simply slips the off the top and slide them on to the base of the pliers, so you will have them there for the next time you need them.

The rubber will also work on some other tools too, and might be handy when you have a spanner that is too large for the job.

The hose might just be enough to fill in the space you need for a better grip.
