Life hack on egg shells; how to easily peel a hard boiled egg

Do you have problems peeling boiled eggs?

Boiled eggs can be used for a multitude of recipes, from potato salad to a curried egg sandwich.
They are even great on their own as a quick and easy snack.
Sometimes the hardest part though is getting the shell off the egg without losing half of the egg with it.
Farm fresh eggs are known for being harder to peel than those that are not so fresh, but there is a solution for all your egg shells.
Simply adding a slice of lemon during the boiling process solves all the problems.

A slice of lemon in the pot while boiling eggs will make all the difference when it comes to peeling off the shell

That’s it.
Just cut a wedge of lemon and put it in the pot.
If you rub the lemon juice over the shells before you put them in the water it will help to stop the shells cracking too.
The acidity of the lemon helps keep the shells intact and also helps make the egg white more alkaline, thus less likely to stick to the shell.
Enjoy.
