Most people like update and change their style as they age, but Keith Urban seems to be living by the old saying, ‘if you’re onto a good thing, stick to it’.

The country crooner has shared a gorgeous throwback photo of himself aged 16 and competing in a country music competition in Australia.

The teenage Urban can be seen rocking out on stage in a green disco-style suit with his trademark mop of blonde hair perfectly groomed and straightened.

“16 years old competing in a country music competition in Australia – singing “The Last Cowboy Song” by Ed Bruce!!” he wrote on Instagram.

Urban shared the photo with his 1.4 million Instagram followers who were quick to comment on his unique style.

“I love how progressive your personal style has always been!!” wrote one fan.

“Love your signature pose KU!” said another.

Urban is one of the most active social media users in the music industry, regularly sharing photos and videos with his fans and having a chat with them.

Earlier this week, he shared an amazing duet with fellow country artist Lauren Alaina.

The pair performed at the Country Crossings Music Festival in Oregon, California to a massive crowd of screaming fans.

While Urban is busy touring the US, his wife Nicole Kidman is Down Under promoting her new movie Top of the Lake: China Girl and filming the blockbuster Aquaman.
