Julianne Moore’s casual couch-potato look on red carpet

Julianne Moore is known for her red carpet style, usually.

Julianne Moore is often known for her brave choices on the red carpet.

Glistening jewel coloured gowns enhancing her porcelain skin and flame coloured hair are the norm. While they might look amazing, one might expect they are not always comfortable.

That’s not the case this time.

Her latest outfit, spotted as she attended the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy was more casual couch-wear, a loose cream coloured shift dress with bell sleeves.

The 56-year-old did add a touch of style, with cork wedges and a sparkling pair of sunnies, keeping both her jewellery and make-up to a minimum.

The Oscar winner was honoured at the event with the Truffaut Award, the The Giffoni Film Festival’s most prestigous prize.

While being presented the award she gave inspiration to anyone wanting to chase their dreams.

“Don’t ever let anybody say that you can’t do something,” Julianne Moore said. “Find what you are really fond of and keep doing it: soon you’ll understand where it will take you. My juvenile love for reading made me want to convey emotions through the staging of a well written text.”

There were plenty of fans to greet the star as she strutted her stuff on the red carpet, happily posing for selfies and signing autographs as she went.

Earlier this year she was stunning on the red carpet in Cannes, spotted in much more figure hugging fashions.

Are you a fan of this casual look, or do you prefer her high-fashion looks?
