It might seem fairly simple but it may surprise you how many people don’t think to regularly clean their screens. Finger prints leave oily marks and dust build ups can actually negatively impact on the technology.

If you have a clean microfibre cloth or if you wear glasses the little cloth that comes with them will work perfectly. Simply spray the cloth with glass cleaner (never the screen directly) and wipe the screen gently with the cloth to remove all dirt. Then use a post-it note to get in between the keys on the keyboard if you have one – it’s easy!

Try to do this weekly and you will always have a clean, germ-free laptop or iPad!

What other tips do you have for your computer or laptop?

  1. Baby wipes work fine on my screen. I figure if it’s OK for a baby it’s on a screen !

  2. I clean my screens with spectacle cleaners with alcohol, which can also be used on the keyboard.

  3. I use a shaving brush to clean my keyboard of all the little bits that get under the keys and spectacle wipes for the keys
