Get those annoying furniture marks out of carpet

When you want to make a change and freshen up your home, sometimes simply moving things around can make as much difference to the look and feel of a room as painting the walls. They say a change is as good as a holiday, and the same goes for your house. If it’s feeling a bit stale, try arranging your furniture in a different way, figuring out a way that it can work better in the space you have.

There’s one annoying thing that can put you off moving your furniture around though, and that thing is the deep, seemingly impossible to remove marks or dents that your heavy furniture leaves in the carpet. There’s no dead giveaway that you’ve just reshuffled your furniture like deep depressions in your otherwise thick carpet. They tend to just make the arrangement look unnatural.

But there is a really simple way to get them out that doesn’t involve spending hundreds on professional carpet cleaning. All you will need to make the carpet look natural and like new again is ice cubes, some time, and a fork!

Place the ice cubes in the centre of the dents in the carpet (use multiple ice cubes if the depressed area is bigger), and leave for around 12 hours. After this time, blot up any remaining dampness, and then us the fork to fluff up the carpet fibres. Finish by vacuuming over the entire area, voila! You won’t be able to see where the marks even were.
