For the first time in many years a grumpy old guy decided that, at last, there was a movie screening that he might actually like.

He was in for a surprise when he discovered that even after showing his pension card that a ticket cost $7.50.

“When I was a boy, it only cost the equivalent of 75 cents,” he muttered to the young ticket seller.

“Well, Sir, I’m sure you will enjoy this feature. Why they even come with sound now.”

  1. We still have the sense of humour when we can have a giggle at jokes about our age and disposition.

  2. My fave movie is still Charlie and Boots. Funny, sad, inspirational all at the same time.

  3. H. Helen Joan Harmon. So did we watch Last Train to Darwin after lunch Christmas Day. Yes thoroughly enjoyed it too, though I thought it was more of an historical kind of movie. Pleasant surprise.
