The Bee Gee’s number one smash hit of 1977!

Written and recorded in 1977, the Bee Gees pop song “How Deep Is Your Love?” was released as a single and rose to number one in the Billboard Hot 100 on December 24. It was so popular that it stayed in the Top 10 for what was then, a record 17 weeks. You may recognise the track from the film Saturday Night Fever. The song also cemented its status as a classic when it was ranked 22 on the 55th anniversary edition of Billboard’s All Time Top 100.

Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb who make up the Bee Gees with their signature harmonies, wrote six songs which went on to hold number one position on the US charts. “How Deep Is Your Love” was the first of these six songs and even to this day remains an old favourite.
