Don’t test the professor

Three friends attending University for Engineering, and were confident that going to do well on the final exam. They may have been overconfident as the weekend before the final they decided to go camping and partied way too much.

A great time was had, but they were so hung-over that they overslept all day Sunday and didn’t make it back to town until late Monday morning missing their exam.

They rushed to their professor to give their excuses as to why they were late. They told him that they went up to friend’s funeral on the weekend, and had planned to come back in time, but that they had a flat tyre on the way back. They checked the boot on to find that wasn’t a spare and couldn’t get help for a long time.

The professor thought it over and then agreed that they could make up the exam on the following day. The friends were relieved and very proud of their story.

That night they studied hard and were well prepared for their Engineering exam. The professor placed them all in separate rooms and handed each of them a test booklet and told them to begin.

The first problem was something simple was worth 5 points. They knew they were going to do well until they turned the page and saw the next question:

“Which tyre went flat (Worth 95 points)”
