Could Hugh Jackman bring sideburns back into fashion?

Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman in a scene from The Greatest Showman.

Sideburns, mutton chops, lambchops or side whiskers, no matter what you call then, you would have an opinion. Love or hate.

These patches of facial hair grown on the side of the face, from the hairline to below the ears, have made various appearances throughout history.

With Hugh Jackman looking so dashing in this newly released trailer from The Greatest Showman, sporting a decent set of sideburns, could he really bring them back into fashion? Not to mention Zac Efron, who doesn’t look too bad either.

The hipster beard has been big for so long, but maybe it’s time for a shave, I mean change.

From Alexander the Great to other not-so-great examples, perhaps the most imitated sideburns belong to Elvis Presley. What was not love?

Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen sported an extended example in the movie Grimsby.

Fellow comedian Will Ferrel has them as a standard look.

Joseph Sumner, the older son of Sting, has gone to long lengths to grow his sides.

Sarah Jessica Parker is known as the style queen so she must have approved of hubby Matthew Brodericks look.

It’s a look also worn by her former Sex In The City co-star John Corbett.

Its not the first time Hugh Jackman has sported the look, and not just while playing the character of Wolverine. Here he is in 2010.

Over the years, who you think has worn them the best?
