Best tip for making sure you have a great day

You'll be better able to enjoy the things that count.

Now that you’re retired, you’re no doubt wanting to live your best life, unhindered by the worries that your used to have. Your children have grown up, and you no longer have work to worry about.

Unfortunately, even in retirement life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. We still have that list of things that need to be done everyday in order to live, or in order to live comfortably and function in society.

And unfortunately, we often carry one of our worst habits from our working days into this new life with us – procrastination.

There are a few unicorns out there who are efficient and don’t procrastinate, but let’s face it, most of us put off the more difficult of our tasks.

Many of us don’t realise just how much doing this adds unnecessary stress to the day, but it’s true. If you have a difficult task looming, it’s constantly in the back of your mind and weighing you down. It doesn’t even have to be something big, but having it hovering over you can really bring your day down.

The key? It’s ridiculously simple. Do that big thing that you really don’t want to do first thing in the morning. Whether it’s something as simple as a hated chore, or something more complex, get it out of the way.

You are guaranteed to feel lighter, and have a far better day (not to mention sleep better)!
