Would you try this bizarre new weight loss trick?

There are some things that make sense when you’re trying to lose weight. Things like running more, eating less, having more fresh food and less processed food all are based on logic. But there’s a new weight loss trick and to sum it up in one word: bizarre.

It’s a substance called butter coffee and it really is just that. A double espresso blended with a tablespoon of butter and a tablespoon of coconut oil. The oil and butter help to bring it to a thick froth and you drink it just as normal.

It just doesn’t quite make sense, putting more fats and oils into something that is already questionable health-wise. According to the Daily Mail it’s designed almost like a meal replacement giving you prolonged energy, a sharpened focus, it burns calories and it replaces the typical added sugar in a coffee with fats – some people believe this is better for you.

The downside is that adding butter and coconut oil to a coffee makes it taste really quite unusual and if you like to drink your coffee for the taste, then this isn’t something that you want to do.

Nevertheless, it has become very popular especially with the younger, health-conscious crowd – the drink is being served at cafes right around America, the UK and Australia.

But today we want to know, would you try it? Is butter coffee something you’d enjoy or do you like your coffee the way it is?
