Hugh Jackman sends a health warning to all Australians

Hugh Jackman has been treated for more skin cancers.

WEAR SUNSCREEN.

It’s not the latest slogan from the team that brought us ‘slip slop slap’, it’s a message from Hollywood hunk Hugh Jackman.

The Aussie took to social media with a post saying he’d been treated for another basal cell carcinoma, but thanks to frequent checks and amazing doctors all is well.

The post was accompanied by a pic, but luckily he said it looked worse with the dressing on than off.

For anyone growing up in Australia, like Hugh, skin cancer is a very real possibility.

The 48-year-old was first diagnosed in 2013 and earlier reports about his brush with skin cancers say he had them removed from his nose and shoulder.

In 2013, he spoke to Variety saying he had been treated for skin cancer after wife Deborra-Lee Furness told him to get a red spot checked out.

“I’m a good example of making sure you get checkups and listening to your wife,” he said in the article.

Since then he has continued to get checkups and has had further treatments.

Like many his age, Hugh has admitted to not wearing sunscreen in his youth.

You can see Hugh Jackman on the big screen when his latest movie Logan is released in Australian cinemas next month.
