Create the life you want simply by focusing on what you have

May 14, 2016

By understanding how our subconscious mind works you can master it to create the life you want no matter what our age.

Our subconscious mind can only say “yes” – so that means that from when you were born you take in everything you see, hear, smell, touch, taste. This is why some people hate certain tastes but don’t know why. They have experienced that taste, or someone has told them how horrible something tastes and they have believed it. From that moment on they will avoid that taste without recognising why they won’t eat it.

These thoughts, beliefs and emotions go into your mind unfiltered and as the subconscious mind rules our world it is easy to see that anything you took even as a baby will influence you until you change it. You create your life based on the beliefs, thoughts and emotions that you hold in your subconscious mind.

It is fairly straightforward to change those thoughts, beliefs and emotions so that you can create the life you want to live.

One very simple technique is to ask yourself what, at first sight, appears to be a very simple question: “What do I love?”

If you write down what you love doing, what you love in your house, the friends and family that you love to have near you, you will have created a great list from your conscious mind.

Now ask this question again however this time we want the answer to come from the subconscious mind: so sit quietly where you will not be disturbed, you might like to put on some music ( not pop or heavy metal as these disturb the subconscious mind and ask yourself again “what do I love”.

This time wait for the answer, do not dismiss anything you get as being silly, just accept everything you are hearing. Because the answer will come from the subconscious mind you may find you hear things such as jelly beans, doll, red truck – just write down everything you get.

Once you think you have the full list compare this list with the one you wrote first – the one from the conscious mind.

You may be surprised that the list is now quite different – this is because your lists come from both your conscious mind and your subconscious mind.

Once you have your lists of what you love doing, objects you love and people you love having around you, tick any item that is both lists and take action according to the answer you get.

Bring those things that you love into your life. For instance, go through your house and give away or throw out anything that is not on your lists. You might need to check in with both your minds as you do this as some things will have conscious mind value whereas the subconscious mind might not care if you keep it or not – this often happens when you have been given a gift that you really do not like but you keep it because you feel obliged to keep it. It is far better to give this away than feel a negative pull away every time you see it.

As you include doing things you love into your life, and let go of those activities that no longer serve nor interest you or that you no longer enjoy and you will be amazed how your life will change for the better.

This simple question “What do I love?” is the most powerful question you can ask yourself and is one that thought leaders suggest that you ask yourself every day.

If our life purpose is to live in joy and freedom then doing and having around you what you love is the quickest and easiest way to live your purpose fully every day no matter what age you are.
