She first came our attention when she auditioned for Australian Idol when she was only 16.
She’s been on one big roller-coaster ride since then. Donovan went on to win the singing competition, which was the second season in 2004, making her the youngest winner.
She went on to record music, and played the role of Cynthia in the musical stage production of The Sapphires, and is a recognisable face of the Coles ‘Down Down’ commercials.
But it was her weight has been an issue for her, revealing she’d not been under 100kg since she was 14 years old.

Her recent weight loss started while filming the show I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, which she also won. She’d lost 17 kilograms by the time she show finished, thanks to the daily rations. She was 149kg when she started.
She put some of it back on, thanks for fast food and alcohol, but realised she was undoing all her hard work, so set herself an even harder task – to get under 100kg.

Posting a copy of the cover image on her social media, Casey says “Grab a copy of @WomansDayAus today… I’m off for a walk :p Xxx”.
Walking 15,000 steps a day has helped, she says, as well as a high-protein diet, and she’s now lost an extra 19 kg. That’s a total of 36kg since January.
She’s said the weight is still coming off, but realises it’s time to increase her exercise.
