Forget the boob job, there’s a new form of plastic surgery that’s taking over in Australia and the US.

It’s not getting work done to your face either. It’s lower than that. Look behind you.

It’s the Brazilian butt lift.

The trend seems to be following the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, who was a judge on X Factor Australia, as well as other ‘celebs’ like Kim Kardashian.

Nine News has reported that the request for this type of surgery has increased by 26 per cent in Australia.

It’s been popular in the US for a number of years, thanks to Ms Kardashian, but now there’s more of a trend of shapely and perky rather than over-the-top big that was popular at first.

What does this butt lift do exactly? It uses a person’s own fat to enhance the size and shape of the buttocks. Often it’s by liposuction to remove fat from other areas, such as stomach, hips and thighs, then injecting into the backside.

More work is then done to improve the appearance of lift and contour, to give the butt a rounded perky shape.

It’s different to butt implant surgery, which uses artificial implants to increase size and shape.

Would you ever consider plastic surgery?
