9 simple and effective ways to reduce flatulence

Passing gas can be an embarrassing problem, as well as uncomfortable.

But you don’t have to suffer… here’s 9 natural ways to reduce flatulence.

1. Chamomile

Chamomile is great at eliminating gas so why not try it in a strong tea? It’s said to produce amazing, immediate results.

2. Write it down

Get paper and a pen and list the foods that are causing your gas. Think about what foods you’ve eaten during the day, and when you felt gassy. They’ll usually be correlated with typically gaseous foods.

3. Pineapple

Pineapple breaks down food naturally, making it easier to digest.

4. Apple cider vinegar

ACV is one of nature’s “cure all” medicines. It is a very potent cleanser and eliminator and is one of the best natural remedies for digestion. You will get almost instant relief from indigestion and gas by mixing up a tablespoon of ACV in a glass of warm to hot water. Sip slowly.

5. Bi-carb soda and lemon

Bi-carb soda and lemon juice form carbon dioxide, which is a natural digestive aid. You will find complete relief with this excellent gas and bloating remedy within about 20 minutes.

Simply squeeze the juice of one lemon into a glass filled with half water then add a teaspoon of bi-carb and mix. After the fizziness has gone down, fill the rest of the glass with water, mix again then drink.

6. Peppermint

Raw peppermint leaves will digest your food better and can aid in stopping bloating if you’re prone to it. Have a peppermint tea and sip slowly.

7. The upside-down bike exercise

Simply lie on your back and use your arms as support to hold yourself up with your legs in the air. Then just do the “bicycle motion” with your legs. This position allows gravity to work with you instead of against you and the bicycle motion helps to push the built up air out. As a variation, you can just lie on your back with your legs elevated (leaning up against the bed or wall instance) and hold that position for 5-10 minutes.

8. Flaxseed

Want relief from gas? Flaxseed can help. Add it to smoothies and yoghurts for instant relief.

9. Pumpkin

Pumpkin is one of the best digestive foods and also reduces gas with its rich quality in vitamin A, potassium, etc.

Take a cup of pumpkin and eat it regularly either by baking, streaming, broiling or even recipes made by pumpkin.
