Delicious three-ingredient Easter egg brownie

Inexpensive and delicious, these marvellous brownies really live up to their name. Loaded with chocolate eggs, this is the ultimate Easter dessert, and it’s fair to say, they’re so tasty your guests will be begging for the recipe.

The best part is they can be whipped up in under 30 minutes using ingredients you most likely already have in your kitchen. Just add two pantry staples and this delicious chocolate brownie will be ready in no time! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.

Ingredients

  • 600g chocolate eggs (of your choice)
  • 4 eggs
  • 150g self-raising flour

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C. Grease and line a 21 cm square cake pan with baking paper.
  2. Place 520g chocolate eggs in food processor and mix until chopped.
  3. While it’s mixing, add eggs (one at a time), mixing until smooth.
  4. Add flour and mix for further 30 seconds or until thickened and combined.
  5. Pour batter into lined cake pan and smooth top.
  6. Halve 40g remaining chocolate eggs, then place on top of batter, pressing down lightly.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Cool brownie in pan for 20 minutes. Remove from pan and serve with remaining (chocolate) eggs for extra flavour.
