To celebrate Seniors Week, Wesley Mission Queensland is hosting a community conversation with a panel of remarkable and inspiring seniors. The conversation will take place on Tuesday 22 August from 1.30pm – 2.30pm at the Chermside Library.

Facilitated by Rebecca Wilson, founder and publisher of Starts at 60, the panel will include:

  • Everald Compton, Chair of the Longevity Innovation Hub, and the Founding Director of National Seniors Australia
  • Karen O’Brien-Hall, Editor of the Starts at 60 Book Club
  • Bernie Hoesman, Freelance Musical Director and Conductor
  • Joy Duffield, Long-term volunteer and community advocate

To coincide with the event, the Wise Matters photography exhibition will be on display at the library. This striking series of photographs features passionate seniors from across Brisbane doing what they love, and celebrates the contribution older people make in their communities.

Afternoon tea will be provided.
