3. She’s the third person to have played M in the James Bond series of movies, but was voted the the favourite of Baby Boomers who’d seen all three Ms in action.
4. She grew up as a Quaker in her teenage years, and is proud of her strong faith, saying: “I was sent to a Quaker boarding school”.
5. Dench’s first acting role was as a snail in a school play when she was just five years old.
