Brendan is reading his paper when his wife walks up and hits him upside the head.

“Ouch! What was that for?”

“I found a piece of paper in your pocket with ‘Betty Sue’ written on it,” says Emily.

“And you think that means something? Betty Sue was the horse I bet on at the track last week. I told you all about it, remember?”

Emily apologised, embarrassed at her mistake.

The next week, Brendan is reading his paper again when Emily hits him on the head, harder this time.=

“What was that for?”

“Your horse called.”
