Bindi Irwin in magazine tell-all about finding ‘the one’ at age 19

Bindi Irwin has done a big interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly, due out in November, in which she says her late father Steve Irwin would “love” her American boyfriend Chandler.

“I believe there’s always someone for everyone and when you find that one, as we have found each other, it’s a real blessing and a privilege,” Bindi, 19, told the magazine, on which she also appears as a covergirl, looking fresh-faced, with flowing hair. “We all think Dad would have loved Chandler.”

For his part, Chandler cites his reptile-related credentials, saying that he spent his childhood in Florida “running around … catching little snakes, lizards, and alligators”.

“I grew up outside, always jumping in the lake, always covered in mud,” he said.

With the interview running under the cover-line ‘Bindi Irwin: I’ve found the one’, Bindi also talks about the parallels between her own life and her father’s – the Crocodile Hunter did, after all, fall in love with American Terri Irwin.

That Bindi should be pronouncing her youthful beau ‘the one’ at the tender age of 19 would come as no surprise to anyone who glances at the self-styled wildlife warrior’s Instagram account, where she frequently shares quotes on the meaning of life, in between plenty of snaps of Chandler.

This occasion is no different, with Bindi posting a photograph from their Women’s Weekly cover shoot and writing “loving you is an endless adventure” to Chandler, who works at her family’s Australia Zoo.

It appears that brother Robert Irwin was also in on the magazine shoot, since a post from September 9 from Bindi shows her wearing the same dress as in the Women’s Weekly photographs, accompanied by her younger brother.

He always makes me laugh! The best brother and friend. Love you @robertirwinphotography.
