Celine Dion has been forced to cancel shows over the last few weeks as she battled illness, but now she’s finally spoken out to reassure fans she’s doing well.

The French-Canadian singer, 49, shared a very glamorous photo with worldwide star Adele, backstage at one of her recent shows, proving she’s back to her usual self.

Posing with a huge pout, the star stands out in a dazzling jewelled dress, showing off her figure as she points to her casual companion. Adele looks really pleased to have met her, and is even wearing a concert hooded top as they stand arm in arm.

Mother-of-three Dion has been battling cold and flu over the last few weeks, but she’s managed to perform in as many of her scheduled shows as possible.

Reassuring fans she’s feeling better, she wrote: “I had a pretty rough time during the last couple of weeks…a lot of people have been hit with cold and flu bugs… but I’m doing much better now. Wasn’t able to do all my shows, but was thrilled that Adele came to one of them…. I love her so much!!”

She’s made a triumphant return to social media over the last few days, and even shared a rare photo with her son Rene-Charles on his birthday. He’s grown up a lot out of the public eye, and his proud mum wrote: “Happy Birthday RC!…..I love you more and more each day, and I’m so proud of the young man that you’ve become.  Love Mom.”

Last year was a big year for the star. She made a triumphant tour of Europe, playing 25 shows in 15 cities, in between which she wore a series of designer outfits so fab that she was dubbed one of the style icons of 2017. She even performed in a super-dramatic video for Vogue magazine.

The songbird then returned to Las Vegas in September to resume her long-running residency at Caesars Palace, packing the 4,300-seat venue and thrilling the crowds with a mix of classics throughout the ages and genres of music, as Broadway World reported.

It was also her first full year without beloved husband Rene Angelil, who died on January 14, 2016, after a second, long battle with throat cancer. Her brother Daniel Dion died just days after her husband, also from cancer.

She spoke often this year of not wanting to move on from her relationship with Angelil, who died at the age of 73.
