He stunned the world with two incredible performances at the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank last month, and now Andrea Bocelli is preparing to say arrivederci to the UK as he wrapped up his latest tour.

The world-renowned tenor wowed a packed-out crowd at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday night and his appearance was made all the more special as his 21-year-old son Matteo joined him on stage for an emotional duet.

Andrea and Matteo belted out their moving song ‘Fall On Me’ taken from the soundtrack of soon-to-be released Disney movie The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, winning them high praise from the audience who took to social media to compliment the duo.

One wrote: “Andrea Bocelli is always amazing to see and was again tonight. Great seeing him singing with his son, Matteo.” While another said: “Andrea and his son Matteo. Absolutely love this just beautiful.”

Following the show, Andrea also shared a number of photos from the set on social media, including one sweet shot showing the father and son smiling on stage, with their arms around each other.

According to the Daily Express, Bocelli also thanked his fans for their support, as he also celebrated his first ever UK number one album this weekend. He said: “I would never have imagined achieving this, even in a country that welcomed me from the very beginning.

“Yet beyond the numbers and the charts, what really counts is the affection of an audience – the handshakes, the smiles, the applause. My heartfelt thanks to all those people who wanted to reward my latest effort.”

In September the pair delighted fans when they released the music video for the track on YouTube, proving that the 60-year-old has indeed passed on his musical talents to his son. Fans of the Italian singer went wild – with many admitting they were even reduced to tears – as he shared the video on social media.

The legendary singer takes to the piano to accompany Matteo as he opens the song and the second his son starts to sing, Andrea’s pride is evident as he breaks in to a huge smile and continues to play beside him. Taking over for the next verse, he then shows off his own stunning vocals before the pair come together in amazing harmonies later in the tune.

The video meanwhile shows the pair back to back as they both perform, before Matteo lovingly guides his father across a room. Mid-way through, fans are treated to a stream of intimate family photos of Matteo’s childhood, showing him cuddling his father as he laughs beside him.

According to Classic FM, Matteo has teamed up with his father for several songs on his new album, titled Si. Their single ‘Fall On Me’ will be used as the soundtrack to the end credits of upcoming Disney movie The Nutcracker and The Four Realms.

The site claims that Matteo’s brother, Amos Bocelli, will also feature on their father’s latest album, playing piano on an acoustic version of ‘Sono Qui’ (I am Here) and ‘Ali di Liberta’.
