This over-60 rocker’s new girlfriend is old enough to be his granddaughter
He’s the lead singer of rock band Aerosmith, and has certainly never been on the shy side. Steven Tyler, 67 (nearly 68) has stepped out in public this week with a new girlfriend. It’s wonderful news for him, but there’s one thing that caught the attention of onlookers: she is very young.
But even still, no one really batted an eyelid as Steven and Aimee Ann Preston sauntered into Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Oscar Viewing Party on February 28. And even as they’re still spotted out and about, it’s not headlines news.
We can’t help but think if an older female celebrity had a much younger boyfriend, it would be splashed all over every magazines and TV channel.
Women like Susan Sarandon, Madonna and Jennifer Lopez have faced harsh criticism for their “boy toys” in the past but the men get off scot-free. Is that OK?
Nevertheless, Steven looked happy and carefree with his new squeeze, who is 40 years younger than him. Two of his four children, Mia and Liv, are 10 years older than Aimee, however it doesn’t seem to bother him.
