The pictures from Marilyn Monroe’s last ever photoshoot

Only three weeks before her death, Hollywood star and pin up Marilyn Monroe took part in a photoshoot with her close friend, photographer George Barris.

The photos were meant to be for a book about the Hollywood star, but Barris ended up scrapping the idea after she suddenly passed away.

In the gorgeous pictures, Marilyn is seen relaxing and smiling on the beach in Santa Monica wrapped in a blanket as the sun sets behind her.

Are you a fan of Marilyn Monroe? Do you believe any of the conspiracy theories about her death?

Marilyn passed away on August 5, 1962 in her Brentwood, Los Angeles apartment. She was found in her bedroom by her housekeeper who puzzlingly called Marilyn’s psychiatrist before alerting the authorities.

There have been multiple conspiracy theories surrounding her death, with some people believing Marilyn was murdered by US president John F Kennedy and his brother Robert F Kennedy.

Marilyn reportedly had affairs with both brothers and some believe she was killed because she knew too many political secrets.

Her death was officially determined to have been caused by a barbiturate overdose and was ruled a “probable suicide” by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

The photos were printed in a limited edition run, with only 99 prints available worldwide.

The images went to auction in 2015 where they sold for thousands of dollars each.
