Our book club ‘book chat’

Have you ever seen a movie which you preferred to the book on which it was based?  That’s what we are talking about in our open book chat today.

This question was raised in last week’s Starts at Sixty Book Club discussion on The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, by Deborah Moggach.

Well have you? Rarely are books adapted for the screen by their author, a notable exception being the works of Sidney Sheldon. As you may know Sheldon was a multi award winning scriptwriter before writing his novels.
