Media giant Rupert Murdoch has married for the fourth time after tying the knot with Jerry Hall in a quiet ceremony in London.

The ceremony was a low-key event witnessed by the couples’ children and close friends.

If you’re surprised by the subdued nature of the affair, never fear.

The ceremony is just the lead-up event to the real deal when the couple host a lavish wedding for hundreds of guests later today.

They left the building hand in hand after the official proceedings and stopped to smile and wave to the waiting press outside Spencer House where the ceremony was held.

Rupert sent out a message on social media saying: “No more tweets for ten days or ever! Feel like the luckiest AND happiest man in world.”

The couple have enjoyed a whirlwind romance over the past five months, which saw Rupert present Jerry with a $4.5 million diamond engagement ring.

While Rupert is seemingly an expert at getting married now, this is Jerry’s first wedding having never made it official with Mick Jagger.

Jerry and Mick held an unofficial ceremony in Bali in 1990 to mark their relationship but never formally married.

The couple has 10 children between them and all will be in attendance at the wedding later today.

They are believed to have spared no expense for the occasion with Jerry reportedly wearing a custom-made dress by famed British designer Vivian Westwood.

Do you wish the couple good luck in the next phase of their life together? How long have you been married for?

  1. I can’t see how it’s actually possible for a man who’s such a liar, con artist, and devoid of any morals whatsoever to know the true meaning of happiness. A man who spends his life trampling over human beings, and manipulating governments, surely couldn’t have the ability for an honest relationship?

      Well said fully agreeπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Good luck you guys, I know you are not in it for the money, you both have plenty.I have been married for 45 years and I dont have any money so its never about the money. And none of us can predict how long we will be here above ground so we might as well enjoy it.

So very true, and I think a lot of people forget Jerry in her own right has her own wealth. I wish them both all the love and happiness,
      they both deserve.

  3. I’ve been married 43 years this February and do wish the newly marrieds much happiness.

I found Wendy Deng, his last wife most attractive of his four wives, but there’s much more to a relationship than a lovely body and an appealing face.

  4. Cheryll

For God sake how many viagagur do you have to take you old fool your first wife was faithful for how many years (well maybe not always faithful) but you married who next a lovely Chinese lady who bor you children then who I have lost account off the names ladies you have my respect but Jerry please.πŸ˜ƒ I have always respected your character your beliefs, are you running out of money. Thank god Dame Murdock has passed she would be so disappointed

It’s difficult to not be a little cynical about the age difference, 25 years I think?! But I believe any girl/woman would be bowled over at her suitor, after a relatively short time, presenting her with a $4.5 million engagement ring… WOW! How could Jerry say No?! I like Jerry and wish her all the happiness in the world!
On the topic, my Ex ran off with a woman 25 years younger than he … the difference being, the younger woman thought he was super rich, but he’s not – he’s a liar, fraud and a scoundrel, so she’s going to come a cropper!
