He’s back! Molly Meldrum plays DJ at a nightclub

It’s not often we see Molly Meldrum out in public these days.

The Australian music industry legend has been keeping a low profile since he fell from his roof in 2011 and seriously injured himself.

However, Molly was back at in last night, hitting a popular Sydney nightclub to play a set with a local DJ.

A fan took a snap of Molly with the DJ as the two relaxed on a couch before the show.

Molly was reportedly in good spirits and had a great time playing music for the young crowd.

Proving that his popularity spans across all generations, he was approached by a number of young fans throughout the night who wanted to meet the music icon and show their respect for him.

Molly made headlines earlier this year when he slipped and fell while on holiday in Thailand, injuring himself once again.

Doctors were fearful he could have done major damage to his back, which has been slowly recovering since his fall in 2011 when he suffered a fractured skull, ribs, shoulder blade, vertebrae and collarbone and was placed in an induced coma.

After the accident first happened Molly brushed off the incident saying, “I’m a walking disaster”.

“I’m with the doctors now, they’re trying to put everything back together.

“I’m not sure what it was but I slipped on something on the ground and fell on the footpath but I’m OK.”

However, he was forced to return to hospital when doctors realised his injuries could much more serious.

It took weeks of physical therapy, but Molly thankfully made a full recovery.
