For those who watched the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards, you might have seen the star studded red carpet featuring all sorts of outfits. Here are just some of our favourite looks thanks to their classic and simplistic touch.

Aussie actress Isla Fisher who has found fame in America picked up an award at the AACTA. she said. “I really have to thank my fellow actors, Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts, Margot Robbie and Toni Collette – all of whom were no doubt offered this award first and they couldn’t make it here tonight so, yay!” Fisher joked during her acceptance speech.

Actress, and Play School presenter Benita Collings kept it simple but classic in a satin and silk outfit with a luxurious embroidered scarf pinned at her shoulder.

Mel Gibson who swept the Best Director award did not disappoint in his dapper outfit.

Jessica Mauboy looked stunning in an ethereal looking dress. However, she did receive some negative remarks for the revealing front part of her dress.

Award-winning actress Zoe Ventoura wore a royal blue velvet dress with a slim belt and finished off her look with a white box clutch.

Australian E! Host Ksenija Lukich donned a simple yet stunning gown with a plunging neckline. She finished off her look with delicate silver shoes and natural-looking makeup.
