A fair look at a classic performance on stage

Part of the cast of My Fair Lady currently touring Australia.

Earlier this month Starts at 60 brought to you a behind the scenes look at My Fair Lady, featuring Reg Livermore.

Now we can bring to you a full dress rehearsal version of the piece.

Playing Eliza’s father Alfred P Doolittle, Reg shows he still has all the energy he needs to bring to the role.

The Burke’s Backyard and Our House regular is no stranger to the stage, or even My Fair Lady, after playing Professor Higgins in the 2008 production.

But it seems Reg was always destined to be a performer.

He started his career hiring local halls to stage performances of his own pantomimes, starring his neighbourhood friends.

From Crackerjack to The Rocky Horror Show, Reg has showed his versatility over the years.

Don’t miss him in this latest production, directed by Julie Andrews.

Watch: Julie Andrews shows why she is still a fair lady.

Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady, for the 60th anniversary, is at the Brisbane QPAC Lyric Theatre, playing now, then the Melbourne Regent Theatre in May followed by Sydney Capitol Theatre in August.

Bookings can be made through myfairladymusical.com.au.
